At Riku’s harsh tone and insult, Sora couldn’t help but flinch. Riku.. wasn’t.. glad? “St.. Stupid?” Sora echoed, a frown etching itself onto his face. “I.. I thought you would be glad he was gone…” The disappointment was easily there in his voice, as was it plain on his face. Ansem had hurt him and caused him pain.. Right? Wouldn’t he be happy to rid himself of someone like that?
Sora closed his fingers around his Soul Gem gem and it shrunk back into a little ring. He pressed it close against his palm and didn’t take his eyes off it. “I don’t understand…” Sora’s voice was low, trying to think why Riku would be mad. “Why are you upset he’s gone?”
Riku whimpered softly at Sora’s reaction, squeezing his eyes shut. He shouldn’t have snapped at him like that..he did what he thought was best for him. Such a selfless act…sacrificing, putting himself in danger for the well being of his best friend. Honestly, if given the chance..he probably would have made a wish no different.
Shakily reaching over and taking Sora’s hand in his own, he weakly pulled the other into a gentle hug..begging for forgiveness. “I-I’m sorry..” He whimpered, “I’m not upset over him being gone..I-I’m really happy, but..” Extending one hand out, he flexed his fingers, concentrating, but nothing happening in response to this action, “I can’t summon my Keyblade..I can barely even stand right now..I think..losing him took away a lot of my energy..is all…”
